Arjan, your script is not working. The files are there, and urls in

Just take the last part of the link and past it in your browser. It is
the actual url. If you are internet dummy, it should start with http and
end with pdf ;-)

The birthright.net link doesn't seem to be working, but all three of the mirror sites are working for me. Perhaps you should try right-clicking on the link and choosing Save Target As, or even using something like getright to download it.

All I can say is that the links are working fine for me, with the sole exception of the birthright.net link. No doubt Arjan will fix them up when he comes back online (it is late night over there at the moment).

None of the links can be right-clicked on for a successful download. I`m in

Very strange, i tried right clicking every link several times, and they worked for me.
only problem i could find is when you click it, it takes pretty long to open in your browser.

thus right click save as should work

Arjan, none of the methods proposed seems to work. Using the save as with the right click still gets me site not found.

The ones who seem to be able to get it to work appear to be those whose site is the mirror.

I have removed the greek miror as it seems that the domain is unreachable.
i have also put www infront of birthright.net.... tested them all -> they all should work now.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Arjan I beleive I found the problem with your links...

They work nicely in IE 5.5 though in mozilla 1.2.1 I get the same
problem as
everyone else... So people try using Internet Explorer to download the file.
Though as has been said you can get the file by typing in the URL
directly but that
of course ruins Arjan`s attempt to count the number of downloads...

Jinkies, folks...they broke down the URL of the download for you...it
works...REALLY. See, I don`t have one of the aforementioned sites, and I
got it last night, and pretty quickly.

And by the way, great work, guys...when`s the Atlas coming out, now? ;-)

It is a bit early to give a release date for the Atlas, as most of the work up until now has been devoted to the rulebook. However, we will be making an annoucment early next week about the Atlas project, and what you can expect from it. There is some preliminary work and content decisions that need to be made first.

I don`t think so. I have version 6.0 and it doesn`t work. Sorry for
ruining the attempt, but some of us were just to eager. Anyway, we can
all download it again when the links start working. I will for sure.

Hmmm. I downloaded it from Greek Mirror at maximum speed for my dialup.
Greek servers are the fasters for Yugoslavia... except Yugoslavian

All right the BRCS playtest version has been out for aver 2 weeks now. That should be enough time for people to at least get an idea of what they like and don't like, what they want to keep and what they want to change or get rid of.

There have been between 1000 and 2500 downloads, depending on how you count. There have been around a dozen or so people making comments on the platest discussion board. Of those there have only been a handful of people who have repeatedly posted. We've got to get a better idea of which way to proceed next, so please, please post your comments.

Typically only those who have complaints make posts, so if you like something and want to keep it the way it is please post so. If you like the concept of something, but would like to "tweak it a little" please post your suggestions. If you really hate something and want it gone post that too, also include any substitution method if there is something that should replace it.

Other than editorial errors, it is very hard to come up with a direction to proceed in without comments from more of the netforce. We, the BRCS "editors", can only work with what we are given to work with. We definitely are not opposed to changing "anything" that we have written so far, as long as it is something that a "majority" or something similar wish the product to "look like". ([_]

I`m really sorry you feel this way - I know myself and several others have
posted about a lot of things we liked about the conversion doc.

Overall I think the BRCS team has done a great job!

Shade, that wasn't meant to be a personal defense. I have no problems with changing anything. It was just an historical observation on life in general, which is a very true statement. Many of the comments have been very good and have had very well thought out and presented arguements (in the legal sense) for the alternatives presented.

There are still not enough people making comments of any sort to come close to representing "the whole". A dozen or even 20 is hard pressed to be used as a representative sample of 1000-2500.:)

But if you look at the number of active posters on the mailing
list/br.net now you`ll see it is not more than 2x 20 I beleive :)
I f. inst. sure isn`t a regular poster even though I do post
every now and then....
So I do not beleive we should be waiting for "everyone" to answer,
rather after a set amount of time (like a month or 2) say that
if noone else voices any opinions then it is agreed...
