Amazon advertising
The Amazon advertising on Br.net seems to have changed. It no longer is just the D&D rulebooks but is a range of D&D products. Is that what we want?

It mostly seems to be the core 3.5 and 4e books separately and bundled with only occasional other items. Since its purpose is to raise a little revenue for the site, I'd say anything that reminds folks to click through here rather than go strait to Amazon is a good thing.

The list is generated with the keywords "dungeon and dragons" so everything they has those words will pop up on that list.
the revenue that was generated with the previous add wasnt too much.. in total about 13$ so perhaps we can up it a little by this more randomly list (not everyone wants to buy 4e) if it does "annoy" you, you can always collapse the box

actually amazon places a cookie after you clicked the link in the affiliate box.
So even if you do not buy the advertised item, BUT you do buy something else (books, dvds etc) it still counts as part of the affiliate... thus revenue for BRnet so when you want to buy something from Amazon... just click the add on the left side ps, its pretty funny to see that half of the items bought through the affiliate are not even RPG related

It doesn't annoy me. I just wanted to make sure that any filtering wasn't broken.
Mind you, editions of PlayOrc or Gnollhouse might be amusing. Or scary.... Sorontar. |

Sorry for bringing this thread up again but...
The Wind in the Willows Kenneth Grahame Is Badger now an Orog and Otter a goblin? Somehow TWITW came up on the Amazon Affiliate box for me today. I wonder what will appear? Miffy the Wemic? Spot the Werewolf? Anuirean Psycho? Where's Guildmaster Wally? Sorontar |

Hmm, I buy a bucket load off Amazon so I'll try to remember to go there through here.

Badger is clearly Borelas, whereas Mole and Ratty are good-aligned lycanthropes. Toad is a vain and spoilt latent awnshegh.

Yea - I just picked up 3 novels - I'll make sure my next stuff comes off via you the link. I should have thought of it.
