Introduction
The Life and Protection of Avanalae grew up in Elinie after Daouta ibn Hammoud seized the regency of the land in a coup d'etat. Since then, the temple has been Khinasi in doctrine and to an extent in sensibility as well, following the teachings of the Ariyan Temple of Avani. The Hierophant, Medhlorie Haensen, has an excellent relationship with the Patriarch of Elinie, Assan ibn Daouta.
Teaching and Doctrine
The Life and Protection of Avanalae is devoted primarily to Avani as the Lady of Reason. Avani acknowledged as a goddess of order, but this is believed to stem from Reason. She is known as goddess of the sun, but in the well watered and temperate lands of Elinie, this is not a focus of worship. The Life and Protection follows the teachings of the Ariyan Temple of Avani, and so is an advocate of the Ariyan School of doctrine. This school takes a more beneficent approach to Avani's word than other schools, regarding her word as preaching peace and prosperity through an orderly life of submission to truth and justice, leading to a rich, rewarding life.
