Laera Avan

The Lady Laera Avan (FAn; Nbl2; Scion of Anduiras, great, 54; NG) is the Prince’s wife. The last scion of House Rowanael, the former ruling family of Taliern, Laera was stricken with infertility after the birth of the Prince’s only child, Aubrae. Though she is a fragile and sickly woman, she has nonetheless captured Darien’s heart, supporting him in all things.

Fully a lady of the court, Laera prefers embroidery, knitting and appearing in the Avanese court beside her husband over the vagaries of politics. While she has been known to occasionally offer her husband advice, she remains a quiet and unassuming woman.

At twenty one, Prince Darien Avan did take a wife. The Lady Laera Avan, who was the last scion of house Rowanael, took his name upon marriage. They then had an only child, Aubrae Avan. The Prince loved her.

With his one and only love, Prince Avan soared to greatness. Today, Darien Avan lords over the most powerful realm in Anuire and seems poised to ascend the Iron Throne, finally achieving the dream of the Avan dynasty.
