High Mage Aelies has overseen the magic of the seven provinces for hundreds of years. The Erebannien keeps him young even for a half-elf; it is one of the few places where the magic of old Cerilia flows unchanged, tapped only by this ancient wizard. Aelies competes with Rogr Aglondier, Count of Ilien, for the magical essence from the wood, as he has competed with the Aglondiers for centuries.
