Time, seasons, and holidays ยป High Festival of the Autumn Moon
The High Festival of the Autumn Moon is practiced in Medoere in Anuire and Zoloskaya in Vosgaard and occurs on the 17th of Erntenir, the first full moon immediately before or shortly after The Veneration of the Sleeping.
Celebrated principally by the priests of Ruornil, this outdoor festival nevertheless attracts rangers and bards as well as mages, astronomers, and the occasional priest of Erik. The connection between magic and the land is central to this festival, which is generally quite staid unless some evil threatens the land and must be rallied against. Philosophical discussions, meditation, night-time observations, and recited lore feature heavily. There are no competitions, but a moonlit feast is held.
