Graelan Caulnor (MAn; Ftr10; Scion of Brenna, major, 41) is the gruff and indomitable Baron of Caulnor. As one of the Prince’s most powerful nobles, he serves as the Principality’s marshal and a member of the Privy Council. A man of iron disposition and little charm, he keeps the army’s discipline in order. His constant training regimen earns him little love from the soldiers, but from his perspective it’s not his job to be loved. Lord Graelan sees social interaction as a pointless waste of time and is well known for his moral chastity. He pays little attention to his family, whom he regards as little more than the fulfilment of his noble duties. Despite being in midst of the backbiting and debauchery of the court, he remains surprisingly unaffected by it. His disdain for politics has earned him the ear of the Prince, who trusts his instincts when it comes to military matters.
