Devlyn is the arrogant captain of the elven forces in Dhoesone. Many nobles complain that Devlyn seems to be more interested in defending the elves wandering the eastern forests rather than anyone who actually answers to the crown.

Persistent rumors suggest that Devlyn turns a blind eye to activity of the Gheallie Sidhe and has struck against goblins for merely daring to live. Devlyn has a deep rivalry with Rhuimach Taeline though neither will discuss details of their feud, the two have come to blows more than once.

Devlyn obeys Fhiele Dhoesone, but takes orders from no human. If not for the desperate need for the elven troops many of the counts of Dhoesone would be vocal in speaking against the elf, as it is they grit their teeth and do their best to ignore his insults.

Devlyn is said to have little love for Fhileraene, Prince of Tuarheviel, some say that the prince sent Devlyn away from the realm to prevent Devlyn from undermining the prince's rule. Devlyn is said to wish the elven kingdom to close its borders to foreigners and cast out all non-elves.

Ardenna is Devlyn's great-great-grandaunt. A whimsical sidhe woman prone to bouts of violent bitterness when she recalls the friends, lovers and children slain by humans and goblins over the millennia. Ardenna can also be as playful as a child, such is the contradictory nature of the sidhe. A few years ago Ardenna slaughtered a number of merchants in the pay of Adaere Doneim for trying to water oxen in a pool inhabited by a Naiad friend, to prevent the realm being embarrassed Fhileraene sent Ardenna away in a form of quasi-exile. On being sent to Dhoesone Devlyn called Ardenna to his side and she has been there since.

Ardenna is loyal to Devlyn, and considers defending the sidhe of Dhoesone from the 'Rjuven invaders' a great honor, while she enjoys 'playing' with humans when the whim takes her she often considers how best to attack this village or that to cleanse the 'western provinces of Tuarheviel'.

Niobhe is young for a sidhe, just two centuries old. Niobhe is Fhileraene's aunt and fond of both Fhileraene and Fhiele. Niobhe does her best to protect both the Anuirean and Elven populations of Dhoesone, but feels unable to help the goblin population - even those that swear loyalty to Fhiele.

Some say that Tirrin Hawkwind is a close friend of Devlyn Tuarlachiem and that the Tuarlachiem warriors aid the native gheallie sidhe against the human population of Dhoesone. Since no human has seen Tirrin and survived in many years this is surely just a rumor put about by Devlyn's detractors.

Adaere Doneim has complained about attacks on his caravans for several years, Fhiele asked Devlyn to investigate to source of the forest bandits and he promised to do so. Ardenna has been tasked with dealing with the problem, but the attacks are growing in frequency and boldness and Doneim is threatening to whelm his own troops to hunt down the bandits if the elves are not successful soon.
