Daeric is tall and rangy, although the first touches of old age have brought a stoop to his shoulder and a softening of his muscles. He resembles an old, proud eagle, with a fierce but deliberate strength of character in his face and gestures.

His personal emblem is a silver falcon on a field of black.

Daeric's children include, Thendiere Mhoried the eldest son who serves as lieutenant to the Mhor, traveling constantly, speaking for his father; Gaelin Mhoried the rebellious second son who is neverthesless a charming knight of the Order of the Knights Guardian; and the twins, Liesele Mhoried and Ilwyn Mhoried. Daeric's wife Aesele Alam died giving birth to the twins.

His brother, Shaene Mhoried, adventured in his youth with Gwenaël Dhariel and James Ardannt. After Gwenaël and James began to establish themselves in their own domains, Shaene tried to set up a guild in Coeranys but was tricked by Moerele Lannaman into a series of moves that ended up with Moerele in control of Shaene's growing guild. Shaene is back in Mhoried serving his brother in whatever capacity Daeric sees fit. Shaene hopes to find a place in politics supporting the Mhor. Shaene's daughters include Lileas Mhoried and Savane Mhoried.
