The Background category is a catch all for pages relating to information that underlies the setting and includes references that are assumed to be known as well as discussions on why various design choices were made.

Generally the category should only be used if there is no more appropriate alternative.

Items relating to game mechanics should be categorized as such not as 'background'

This category (for now) is also used for terms that relate to the BR wiki.
