The Black River flows from the Seamist Mountains of Tuornen and is fed by streams coming from the Stonecrown Mountains as well. It flows to the Miere Rhuann.
The Black River supported the settlement of the Boru after the Flight from the Shadow.
The Black River Valley is a rich and prosperous locale where three major settlements support trade along the river. Near the mouth of the river, accessible to to the Miere Rhuann, the city of Tariene is one of the oldest and largest cities of the Western Coast. Further upriver lays Flodday, the largest city in Talinie. Still farther upriver lays Riviton.
