A tall slim man Konrad has been Baron for many years and feels the winter’s chill deeply these days. Konrad is often described as an old Brecht gentleman – his family goes back to Deismaar and he is said to have never accidentally insulted anyone, several of the other families have sent wayward cousins to him to be trained as gentlemen from time to time.

Konrad’s main preoccupations these days are finding a good husband for his daughter Irma, training his son Gunther to succeed him, and ensuring that no goblin sets foot on his lands without receiving an arrow in the throat.

Günther

Günther is Konrad’s third son (both elder brothers were killed by goblins). Günther is old enough to feel constrained by the town of Kieler’s bay and young enough to think himself immortal. He would like nothing more than to get away from his father’s careful gaze and make a name for himself, possibly even pick up a few discrete scars to rid him of the ‘pretty boy’ image he detests.

A keen gambler Günther is said to have lost a fortune to Volse in a freakishly unlucky game of cards and Günther has been quiet of late – no doubt seeking to raise funds to pay of the guildsman.
