Aerona Avan is the wife of Gaelin Isilviere, the Count of Islien. Their daughter, Kaela Isilviere, is married to Aeric Boeruine. Their son, Elton Isilviere, is the Lord of Seaside and is married to Dulcie Nichaleir.

Aerona is the sister of the late Veladin Avan, making her the aunt of Darien Avan.
